Free Community Clinic Day: September 1, 2022 at Midtown Optometry

On September 1, 2022, Midtown Optometry will be offering a free community clinic during regular business hours. We strive to provide high quality eyecare to everybody in the community and realize that many of us are not fortunate enough to have insurance to cover this critical annual exam. It is easy to forget that a yearly eye exam is not just about updating glasses and contact lens prescriptions, but about maintaining the health of the eyes. Even common conditions like dry eye disease—which affects 16 million Americans—can have a big effect our our daily lives and simple, inexpensive treatments can make a big difference. Furthermore, a retinal exam is often how more serious disease conditions are diagnosed. Conditions such as diabetes and hypertention can often be detected early through retinal exams. We also look for other sight-threatening conditions such as glaucoma and macular degeneration which can be treated effectively if caught early.
